A hot tub warranty is never one number. Different parts of a spa fail in different ways, so they are covered for different lengths of time.
Those parts do not wear at the same rate, so they are not covered for the same length of time. Every good warranty in this category is layered that way.
That is why we never quote a single big number on its own. It would tell you almost nothing about your actual coverage.
Below is each layer, what it covers, and how long it lasts. The terms come from the manufacturer, Garden Leisure, and they are published in writing.
Hot tubs
The headline layer is the shell structure, and it runs for fifteen years.
Structure means the shell stays sound and holds water. It covers loss of water through the fiberglass laminate from a defect in materials or workmanship.
In plain terms, that is the leak cover. It is not a promise about every part bolted to the spa.
The working parts sit under shorter layers, which is normal and is how the whole category is written.
Swim spas
A swim spa carries more coverage than a hot tub does, on three of the five layers.
The shell structure runs for twenty years instead of fifteen. Components and labor run for five years instead of three, and so does plumbing.
The surface finish and the other parts layer match the hot tub line.
If you are weighing a swim spa against a hot tub, the longer coverage is a fair thing to put on the scale.
Shell structure is the body of the spa. This layer is about the spa staying sound and holding water.
Surface finish is the smooth surface you see and touch. It is the finish itself, not the structure underneath it.
Components are the working parts, such as the pump and the heater. Labor is covered under the same layer, which matters, because labor is often the larger half of a repair bill.
Plumbing is the pipes and fittings that carry water around inside the cabinet.
Other parts is the everyday category. Think of the items you touch, replace or wear out soonest.
How a claim works
Warranty work on our customers' spas is done by our own service team.
You call us, we come out, and we look at it. If it is a warranty repair, we take it from there.
Keep your purchase paperwork somewhere safe. If the manufacturer needs your spa registered, we will walk you through that at delivery.
Coverage protects against defects in materials and workmanship. It is not a plan for accidental damage or for skipped water care, so keep up with the basics.
We cannot change the manufacturer's warranty, and we cannot extend it. No dealer can.
